A newer version of Gtalk is released with three new features:

File TransferWith this top requested new feature, you can send unlimited files and folders to your friendsthrough Google Talk.Theregtalk1.png is no restriction on the file type or size and the peer-to-peer transfer is fast and reliable.

Voicemail – Now you can leave a voicemail. You can even leave voicemail messages for your friends who don’t use Google Talk–gtalk2.pngthey’ll receive an email with the message attached as an audio file. Voicemail messange is limited to 10 mins ans is in MP3 format.
Music Status – Show your contacts what music are you listening (A la MSN). It works with Winamp and Windows Media Player.gtalk4.png

Next, I can see Gmail being implemented with embedded audio voicemail accessible directly from the browser.

Download the new version of Google Talk (1.0.0.95)

Update: When you click on the green phone icon at the bottom of Gtalk, it opens up directly Gmail Voicemail search on Gmail with the query 'label:voicemail', this hints at an upcoming voicemail feature on Gmail (as I predicted above). Also when you try to create a label named 'voicemail', you get the message: "System specific names are not allowed. Please try another name."

    Hi
Nice post on Google Talk. What a coincidence that both Yahoo and Google release their latest IM version on the same day..

Here is my comparison of Talk with Yahoo IM’s latest release

I use gmail for mobile and gtalk for mobile.

Gtalk is a very useful programe.
Gtalk for mobile is fast , user friendly and low costs for sending messages, cheaper than SMS!

So when using the application.feel free to send e-mail and other data to anyone you want at anytime!

If you ever want to see a reader’s feedback :) , I rate this article for 4/5. Decent info, but I have to go to that damn google to find the missed parts. Thank you, anyway!
p.s. Year One is already on the Internet and you can watch it for free.
